The CLARIAH-DE project brings together the research infrastructures of CLARIN-D and DARIAH-DE.

The goal of the joint project is to merge the research infrastructures CLARIN-D and DARIAH-DE, both establishedwith funds from the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (Bundesministerium für Bildung und Forschung, BMBF), into a joint digital research infrastructure CLARIAH-DE. Synergy potentials shall be increased while friction losses shall be reduced. Thus, the services will be strengthened throughout the whole infrastructure landscape. The project enables the adjustments and further developments that are essential for the integration of the originally separately built resources, tools, and services within a common research infrastructure. These actions can only be implemented by means of this project as they cannot be provided in addition to the ongoing operation and maintenance of the infrastructures.

The goal of the joint project at the BBAW is to transfer preliminary work of CLARIN to CLARIAH-DE as well as to render selected preliminary works and DARIAH data interoperable with one another.
