Akademischer Werdegang
Seit 2019 an dem Zentrum für digitale Lexikographie des Deutschen (ZDL) für den Aufbau von gegenwartssprachlichen Sprachressourcen verantwortlich.
Seit 2013 an der BBAW tätig, u.a. in den Projekten CLARIN-D, DTA und DWDS.
Wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiter an der FU Berlin, HU Berlin und an der Österreichischen Akademie der Wissenschaften.
Promotion an der École Normale Supérieure de Lyon, Ad hoc and general-purpose corpus construction from web sources . Dissertationskomitee: Prof. Dr. Benoît Habert, Prof. Dr. Thomas Lebarbé, Prof. Dr. Henning Lobin, Dr. Jean-Philippe Magué, Dr. Ludovic Tanguy.

Summary
Adrien Barbaresi is associate researcher at the Berlin-Brandenburg Academy of Sciences (BBAW), in charge of contemporary text collections at the Center for Digital Lexicography of German (ZDL).
He studied Humanities and German in Strasbourg, Gießen and Lyon, where he was a student of the École Normale Supérieure.
His PhD thesis in linguistics focused on the discovery, collection and processing of texts on the Web. His research interests include digital humanities, corpus linguistics, especially corpus construction and management of large corpora, as well as computational linguistics with emphasis on non-standard data.
