Zur Person

Milena Rinck ist Nordamerikanistin, Literaturwissenschaftlerin und Kulturmanagerin. Ihre Forschungsschwerpunkte liegen in den Bereichen transatlantischer Kulturaustausch, Geschichte und Kultur des deutschsprachigen Judentums in den USA und Exilliteratur. Sie wurde mit einer Arbeit zur Praxis der deutschen Auswärtigen Kultur- und Bildungspolitik in den USA an der Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München promoviert. Nach Tätigkeiten bei Villa Aurora & Thomas Mann House und am Leo Baeck Institute New York – Berlin ist sie derzeit Wissenschaftliche Koordinatorin des Jahresthemas 2025 I 2026  “Konflikte lösen!” der BBAW.

Milena Rinck is a North Americanist, literary scholar, and cultural manager. Her research interests include transatlantic cultural exchange, the history and culture of German-speaking Jewry in the United States, and exile literature. She received her doctorate from Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität Munich with a dissertation on the practical implementation of Germany's Foreign Cultural Relations and Education Policy in the United States. After working at Villa Aurora & Thomas Mann House and the Leo Baeck Institute New York–Berlin, she is currently the Academic Coordinator of the BBAW's annual project 2025 I 2026, “Resolving Conflicts!”.
